Scholarship Description: The AAR Dementia Research Grants are seeding grants for new researchers, valued up to $30,000 (exclusive of GST), to be allocated for research in a dementia-relevant area. In 2011, five grants will be offered. Grants are awarded in both biological/non-clinical and clinical/psychosocial research areas. This year, one grant will be awarded to reflect the Consumer Dementia Research Network priority areas. Alzheimer’s Australia Research Limited (AAR) is a non-profit company formed to promote, disseminate and fund research into all aspects of dementia. Every year, there is an application process for grants and scholarships. The 2011 Dementia Grants Program consists of four main categories – research, travel, postgraduate scholarships and postdoctoral fellowships.
